Billing & Cancellation Policy
My Job Compass
Applicant Verification Service
Effective Date: August 5, 2025
1. Billing Terms
Clients are billed per use at the time of service. Pricing is posted on our official website and may vary, depending on the number of applicant scans or subscription tier.
Subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically unless canceled by the client prior to the next billing date.
2. Refund Policy
Due to the digital nature of the service, all sales are final once the verification report is generated. If a technical error prevents delivery, we will reprocess the request at no cost.
No refunds for subscription fees once billed, unless otherwise stated in writing by My Job Compass.
3. Cancellation
There is no long-term contract or recurring billing unless you are on a subscription plan. Subscription users may cancel anytime through their client dashboard, with cancellation effective at the end of the current billing period.
If you have a subscription plan, to avoid being charged for the upcoming month, cancellation requests must be received at least one full business day before your next billing date, typically the same day of the month as your original subscription. Clients may cancel their subscriptions by submitting a cancellation request here.
4. Returned, Declined, or Disputed Payments
In the event of a returned, declined, or disputed payment, the client is responsible for full reimbursement of any associated bank, payment processing, or administrative fees incurred by My Job Compass.
5. Outstanding Balance
Any services already delivered prior to payment failure or dispute remain payable and due by the client. The client is responsible for repayment of these services even if the original transaction is later reversed or disputed.
6. Client-Initiated Payment Disputes
In the event that a client initiates a payment dispute through their bank or credit card provider, My Job Compass reserves the right to submit evidence of service delivery and the client's agreement to these terms, and pursue reimbursement for any related losses, regardless of the outcome of the dispute.
7. Non-Payment Due to Error
If a payment fails due to a technical issue, expired card, or other non-intentional error, the client will be notified and expected to resolve the issue within 3 business days. Failure to do so may result in suspension of services and an additional $25 late payment fee until payment is received.
8. Client Responsibility for Fees
The client is responsible for full reimbursement of any fees charged to My Job Compass as a result of returned or disputed payments, including but not limited to charge-back fees, overdraft fees, or processing fees.
9. Subscription Cancellation After Billing
If the client cancels after the subscription has renewed but before services have been delivered for that billing cycle, My Job Compass reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to issue a refund or credit for that cycle. This determination will be made on a case-by-case basis.
10. Refund Discretion
All refund decisions are made at the sole discretion of My Job Compass. Filing a cancellation request does not guarantee a refund if the cancellation was not submitted before the renewal date or if services have already begun.
